HIGHLIGHTS OF MY ARTIST JOURNEY SO FAR

After a great first weekend of my Open Studio and having moved into our flat in Reigate a year ago today, it seems like a great time to look back and celebrate some of the highlights over the past few years!

HIGHLIGHTS OF MY ARTIST JOURNEY SO FAR:

  • 2016 I was chosen for the very first High House Studios month-long Artist Residency by Sir Antony Gormley and Vicken Parsons in rural Norfolk.

  • 2017 I was selected to be part of the Platform 13 exhibition at the Leyden Gallery in London.

  • 2018 I was hired at Harriet Kelsall Bespoke Jewellery in Cambridge as a jewellery design assistant and gained my JET certificate from The National Association of Jewellers.

  • 2019 I was awarded the SAOS bursary to take part in the Surrey Artist Open Studios event during June, where I am exhibiting my new paintings to the public for the first time!

Looking forward to the future too, later this month I will be collaborating with fellow artist Pippa Ward to create a permanent outdoor art installation at The Hawthorns School, constructed using plastic bottle lids, which the children and their families are currently collecting. We will also have the children from the Eco-team at the school getting involved and helping us build the sculpture on the day!
