I begin each artwork by going outside and gathering materials from local trees, such as their leaves and seeds, taking them back to my studio to experiment with. I take time to study each new material I use, assessing its qualities, shape, size and how they could be arranged as a collective, in a visually harmonious way.

I have always had a passion for the artistic process; imagining something that doesn’t yet exist in the world and making a plan to bring it into existence.

I have equally always had a deep connection and fascination with the natural world; particularly the botanical world and unwavering compassion for all life in the animal kingdom.

Through my art I simply seek to encourage us all to look at little closer at the beautiful planet we all call home, while planting some new trees along the way.
